I have two and a half Wurlitzer consoles in my garage that are slowly being restored to playable condition.  I started with two and the idea that one would be used for parts.  I then was able to acquire most of a console shell so it now looks like both consoles will live to play another day.

One of the consoles is almost certainly a Style 215.  This console has led a hard life.

Style 215 Console Unrestored

It appears to have been pressed into service as a church organ console.  It was heavily modified for that purpose.  All of the stop tabs were replaced as you can see above.  The veneer was badly damaged.  I plan to transplant the innerds of this console into another console shell that is in better condition.   Here is the lower part of that shell after veneer repairs.

The second console seems to be a Style 3, the predecessor of a Style 185.

Style 3 cleaned up

After cleaning off years of grime, the console wood looks fairly good.  However the ivory keys are badly water damaged and some stop tabs are missing.

Regretably I don't know where either console was originally installed.
