Dear Fellow COTOS Members,
The Fund Raising Committee is completing the preparation phase of our fund raising efforts. As many of you know, Clark Wilson & Associates has proposed to remove, totally rebuild, and reinstall our Wurlitzer for $200,000. He estimated this process would take approximately one year from the time he starts removing the instrument. This would bring the Wurlitzer to the level of readiness COTOS has sought to reach for the past 30 years. It would make the instrument available to students for practice and for lessons, to members for playing time, and to those who would visit and play on a moment's notice.
The Fund Raising Committee plans to approach local corporations in its search for funding, We would, however, like to show these potential contributors that the COTOS membership is financially supportive of this project.
Since we do not need the entire amount to start the project, we are asking contributors to pledge their assistance over a two-year period with 50% donated this year and 50% donated next year. Suggested giving levels:
Level     % of goal  per year  total gift
  1. Master Contributor       50 % $50,000 $100,000
  2. Major Contributor       25 % $25,000 $50,000
  3. Benefactor       10 % $10,000 $20,000
  4. Patron         5 % $5,000 $10,000
  5. Sustainer         1 % $1,000 $2,000
  6. Booster       ½ % $500 $1000
  7. Friend       ¼ % $250 $500
