Metrolina was a marketing term invented in the 1980s to describe the metropolitan area in and around Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. More than a dozen counties in both North and South Carolina were included originally, but the number of residents and the geographic region have increased since we began in 1989.

  • Feb 13: John Apple is appointed to the ATOS Board of Directors because of insufficient nominations for an election this year. Bucky Reddish from Atlanta will join him.
