This is outside on Tryon Street during the period in September 1938 when the theatre was closed for its first renovation. The parade consisted of a series of bands. Cecil Brodt, founder of Brodt Music Company and husband of Gladys Brodt, took this and several other photos of Charlotte during the 1930s when Brodt's was on Fifth Street.
