ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

From: Robert Ridgeway, April 2006

The Minnesota Theatre/Delzer/Gilson instrument was one of the last organs rebuilt and installed by the late David Junchen.

The room is about 50’ x 50’ with a 21’ ceiling. It is quite live but exceptionally musical.

David had some 32’ Wurlitzer Diaphone beaters but NO resonators so Bob Gilson set up a wood shop and built them HIMSELF with finger-joinery and each resonator IN ONE PIECE. They have several coats of hand rubbed finish on them. They almost look too beautiful to play….but they do AND they are mounted HORIZONTALLY over the Main Chamber.
