ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

From: Tom Fizzell, August 2008

I have a four rank wurlitzer chest which I am releathering for use in my home organ. Originally tuba, dia diap, string and celeste. I have found that there are 12 notes at the top of the string celeste which are not used. I know this is not unusual but these do not have pallets installed, the pipe holes were just left open to the outside. There was certainly air escaping for all the life of this organ. Inside the chest I found, stamped into the wood, the words "keith boston main" This would be opus 1115, a 260SP delivered on 7/29/25. There are also six notes at the top of the dia diap not used but these have pallets to close of the holes. You never know what Wurlitzer might do.
