ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

From: Jeanette Crumpler, September 2008

I know the 1922 3/11 Wurlitzer (Opus 235, 503)that was in the Melba Theatre here is in a private home here in Dallas. It is still being played for private concerts. The console was replaced in 1927 while it was still in the Melba Theatre because there had been a fire and the first console was damaged. Rodney Yarbrough showed me the shipping tag for that second console. He has that and he also provided me with information about it more than once. Rodney was the man who bought the Kirby Theatre Wurlitzer some years back, restored it and put it in his home in Celina, then he purchased the San Antonio Texas Theatre Wurlitzer, brought it to Celina and was working on it when he was disabled in 1964. He later sold both of those.
