This organ was removed from the Century Theatre in Selma (as shown)
and shipped to the Empire Theatre in Oakley, CA. This theatre was still
standing when I was in Oakley in the early 1970s. On a trip through the
delta town 10 years or so ago, the theatre was long gone.
I do not know what happened to this organ. Judd's list has it all screwed
up as having been combined with another organ and I know this is not correct
as I saw the organ that it was supposedly combined with opus 413, also from
Selma, CA. It was not. When I saw opus 413 (from the T & D/Selma Theatre)
in the 1970s, it was the original 2/5 plus a bunch of crap that had been
added. The style 135 was nowhere in sight! Additions were Moller, Barton,
and whatever else could be scraped off the shop floor.
